Let the Spirit World Help You

by Sonia Choquette, Ph.D.

As a person who grew up in a six-sensory world where there was
virtually no veil between the physical and non-physical worlds, it
seemed only natural to me to receive help from the spirit world. In
addition to the spirit helpers I met at home, I found even more
evidence of spirit helpers in my Catholic school on the west side of
Denver. There, I was introduced to angels and the saints, Mother Mary,
Jesus, of course, and the biggest spirit of all, the Holy Spirit and
told of their endless love and support for me at all times.

With all that in place I knew I couldn't miss. I went to mass every
morning, lit candles to get my spirit guides' attention, and had
heartfelt conversations imploring them to intercede for me on all
matters, including helping with tests, getting a good seat in the
lunchroom, and, of course, winning my volleyball and basketball games.

As far as I was concerned the spirit guides listened. I did do well on
tests. I did have unusual luck in the lunchroom, and I did win an
awful lot of volleyball games. And why shouldn't I. I not only prayed
to the spirit helpers and guides for assistance. I absolutely believed
they responded. I felt their help and their presence. I assumed
everyone did, at least until third grade when my best friend Susie
complained about being unable to go to the local swimming pool with my
family because her mom said no, and I suggested she ask her guides to
help change her mother's mind. She didn't know what I was talking
about. When I explained it to her she said I was weird.

Not wanting to risk my already tentative social position at school, I
laughed off her comment and suggested we do something at her house
instead.

From then on I realized that the rich world of spirit from which I
drew such comfort was virtually unknown to most people around me. Over
time I've also come to believe our disconnection from the spirit world
is a Western soul disease in which industrialization and
intellectualism have snatched us from our hearts—the place we meet and
commune with spirit—and planted as squarely in our heads—the place
where our egos reign over us with threats of isolation and annihilation.

I believe disconnecting from the spirit world and your inner guidance
is an energetic disturbance that is much like being a radio dial
drifting from its desired station. You begin to tune into a lot of
static instead and get confused and lost.
The good news is that whatever the reason for the separation, with a
little effort you can reset your inner dial back to your heart and
reconnect once again.

To begin, it's important to understand what you can expect to tune
into when you join with your spirit guides. You see, there are many
levels of spirit guides and non-physical entities and energies in the
spirit world, all vibrating on their unique frequencies, much like
multiple radio stations simultaneously sending out unique signals.
Each guide has its own frequency, some higher then others. We also
have our own frequency and vibration.

Those of us who remember we are spiritual beings live in our hearts
and have a high vibration not too distant from the spiritual
frequencies of those in the non-physical plane making connection with
spirit guides easier.

Those of us who have forgotten we are spiritual beings and identify
with our minds and bodies have a lower vibration further on the
frequency range from spirit guides, so the connection is much more
difficult to establish. This is why some people are more aware of
guides than others.

Because we are all physical and non-physical alike, our energy being
in vibrational motion, we can be characterized as different radio
bands broadcasting at different levels. The higher our vibration, the
greater the connection we can make with our spirit guides.

There are many kinds of guidance with which we can connect: guides who
are people who have once lived; guides of past family members; guides
from past lives you've shared; guides who come in as spiritual
teachers to oversee your path; healers who can assist your physical
and emotional care; helpers who make day-to-day living easier; nature
spirits and elementals to connect you with the earth; animal spirits
to guide your path; even joy guides to keep your own spirits up when
life becomes too heavy and hard. There are angels, saints, divas,
masters, and God.

In fact, the spirit world is as populated as ours—myriad different
guides working on different frequencies all the time.
Because every thing in the Universe is spirit, vibrating at different
frequencies, it is only natural that we, as spiritual beings, are able
to connect with other spirit frequencies. If we recognize ourselves as
spirit, we can more easily recognize the spirits of the non-physical
world as well.

To begin connecting with your spirit guides, start first by connecting
with your own spirit. How would you describe your spirit? Not your
mind. Not your body. But the eternal fiery life force called you. Can
you describe your spirit? Is it gentle? Fiery? Commanding? Tentative?
Creative? Shy? Playful?

If you are unclear, ask yourself where in your life do you feel
competent? What activities engage you so fully that you lose yourself?
What lifts your spirit"? This should give you some idea.

Getting in touch with your own spirit is the first step in getting in
touch with spirit guidance. The more you listen to your inner voice,
the more you will feel the love and support available to you through
all your spiritual resources. When that happens, life becomes a joy.

Is it really just Coincidence?

Is It Really Just Coincidence?

Is It Really Just Coincidence?

Is It Really Just Coincidence?by Jim Francis

Many see coincidences as embedded in a higher, transcendental force, a cosmic “glue,” as it were, which binds random events together in a meaningful and coherent pattern. The question has always been: could such a harmonizing principle actually exist?

Or are skeptics right in regarding this as a product of wishful thinking, a consoling myth spawned by the intellectual discomfort and capriciousness of chance?

Mathematician Warren Weaver, in his book, Lady Luck: The Theory of Probability, recounts a fascinating tale of coincidence that stretches our traditional notions of chance to their breaking point.

The story originally appeared in Life magazine. Weaver writes:
All fifteen members of a church choir in Beatrice, Nebraska, due at practice at 7:20, were late on the evening of March 1, 1950.

The minister and his wife and daughter had one reason (his wife delayed to iron the daughter’s dress) one girl waited to finish a geometry problem; one couldn’t start her car; two lingered to hear the end of an especially exciting radio program; one mother and daughter were late because the mother had to call the daughter twice to wake her from a nap; and so on.

The reasons seemed rather ordinary. But there were ten separate and quite unconnected reasons for the lateness of the fifteen persons. It was rather fortunate that none of the fifteen arrived on time at 7:20, for at 7:25 the church building was destroyed in an explosion.

The members of the choir, Life reported, wondered if their delay was “an act of God.” Weaver calculates the staggering odds against chance for this uncanny event as about one chance in a million.

Coincidences such as these, some say, are almost too purposeful, too orderly, to be a product of random chance, which strains somewhat to accommodate them. But then how do we explain them?

Another definition for SYNCHRONICITY

Synchronicity at this point can be defined as a series of seemingly unrelated events which are connected via a hidden agenda.

The recent publication of the SUPERSTRING theory indicates that there may well be ten dimensions in existence, not merely the four that ones senses are currently aware of. (Length, breadth, width, time)

There is now considerable mathematical proof to indicate that ten dimensions exist. And most quantum physicists have given serious consideration to this theory. It would appear that the “hidden agenda” of synchronistic events may be transparent and obvious in one or more of these ten dimensions, but become opaque and difficult to fathom when viewed in our current restricted four dimensions.

And there is now at last a small amount of evidence to indicate that when an individuals subconscious mind-set is modified to encourage positive PK synchronistic events (luck) then synchronistic elements may be set into play which materialistic as PK Luck events in our “real time” dimension.

And conversely when a person becomes aware of a series of synchronistic events they can use this special knowledge to trigger a burst of luck.

What has been definitely proven however is that the mind-set of an individual influences their interaction with the environment, to an extent which can leave a person “stunned” at the positive results.

What I have discovered over the past 4 years is that if I call up a dream program to “induce” synchronistic events in my waking life ….then instruct my mind to consciously recognize these events as a synchronistic train….I can usually recognize where they are leading to and be there at the right time and place to take advantage of them.

I have personally had at least a dozen of these recognizable synchronicity trains in the past 3 years and each one has bought me sometimes quite incredible luck. So much so that friends here in Vanuatu keep telling me how lucky I am!!

Understanding Silence

Always, all people have that chance to experience and undergo a much greater life; it is one’s choice.
Abundance, peace and happiness are one’s inheritance that is only achieved when one practices centering and quieting the mind. Not simple to achieve, especially in a very noisy society, but it can be done.

The mind constantly is noisy that is invaded by thoughts. Such time, when the streams of thoughts are blocked off, a different section of the mind that which is bestowed with the capability of transforming knowledge into virtually usable concepts becomes active.

The moment that busy thoughts recedes, silence then go deep into the mind. Your present thoughts, knowledge transformation into constructive ideas and intellectual thinking should all stop in order that silence can enter the mind.
The chattering mind is never quite, and through the mouth, it expresses itself.

Meditation provides an entryway so as to calm the mind and retrieve answers beyond the problem. Where the body requires regular exercise to retain its strength, so does the mind needs constant practice to quiet down its unpredictable feelings and thoughts.

Silencing the mind through meditation permits one to bond and attach with one’s central being that one might experience the fulfillment and peace within.

Curiosity is what stimulates the thoughts. A need to comprehend a new event that engrosses one’s thought. Until such time that mind fully comprehends, it will not stop thinking. Each time that a new thought enters the mind, it immediately gets lively and active; as thinking is the minds chief activity.

In contrast, meditation entails silencing the mind in order that one can obtain innermost and deep guidance.
In such times that the mind is restless, one can discover the mind to be persistently thinking; this is how the mind breaks away from its agitation. There are certain times that one’s mind is strained due to so much work and therefore searches relaxation and thinking is a means of relaxation.

To silence the mind one needs the courage so to release and set free your past, the hurt upon which one attains a certain sense of character which traps one in his past.

To silence the mind also needs the courage so one can release the future, his expectations and fears and to only live for the present, which the only period and phase of one’s life that one can and should exist.

It is only by existing in the present that one is able to let go of all connections to the outcome of one’s own actions or “karma”. Success and failure no longer offer one the identity to which one depends.  It is when one connects to the quietness underneath one’s mental commotion that one finds inner peace. It is 'here' alone, the present that one can forgive leave in abundance because one has left all his negative baggages behind.

Meditation

Meditation is an exercise that soothes the mind, relaxes one’s body and lessens tension. With constant practice, the rushing and raising of one’s thoughts in his mind holds back, and consequently, the mind relaxes.

Happiness then increases with regular meditation. Love, understanding, tolerance, inner strength and bravery also increases. The ability to concentrate is sharpened, so that one’s mind will be stronger and in control. So that one’s capacity to enjoy the “present” is cultivated and blaming as well as criticizing, which are negative attitudes decreases or stops.

One knows without any doubt, spiritually, that understanding and knowledge lies inside one’s heart and the mind searches for it by way of thinking.

Restlessness is handled by summoning peace. Relaxation will be found when one is at rest. When one finds at times thinking as enjoyable, one can attempt to contrast its force with silence; thinking will fade in comparison. Although on certain occasions thinking generates cleverness, silence can grant the complete capacity that of which cleverness is only one portion. One seeking capacity from thoughts or thinking yet turn to silence often gain a more creative capacity.

Silence will be understood and accomplished when one encounters with the Divine that is inside one’s inner being. If the Divine makes contact with the mind, it will feel it and distinguish it as “light”. The emotions will be felt as love; sensations will be felt as delight.

The Divine descends into one’s spirituality in two sides, namely force and consciousness. The different sections of one’s being which answers back feels silence, love, light, power and delight.  It is in this silent state of that mind that one attracts positive forces and focus the subconscious to set a goal for one’s success.
